The new Sam & Max adventures by Telltale Games are simply a trip down nostalgia lane with a few interesting diversions.
The point and click adventure from the nineties, Sam & Max hit the road, was a instant classic, razor sharp wit and gruesome humour struck a cord with my adolescent self. So the question must be how well can this new incarnation of the dastardly duo measure up. Poorly, but if you loved them before you wont mind.
Much like the Monkey Island remake these are “sanitised” pandering to your childhood. Many of the original games audience will remember the sometimes graphic, albeit pixelated, violence from the original. Unfortunately this is very much a sanitised game.
